ELECTRONICS MAINTENANCE – 3rd shift
Snap-on Tools, a leading manufacturer and worldwide distributor of automotive and industrial tools,
storage units, and related equipment, has an immediate opportunity in Electronics Maintenance on third shift.
Candidates must have a two-year degree in Electronics or Electronics Maintenance. Prefer hands-on
PLC programming and troubleshooting skills. Experience with Allen Bradley controllers is desirable. Also,
should have mechanical aptitude and experience.

MAINTENANCE – 2nd shift
Snap-on Tools, a leading manufacturer and worldwide distributor of automotive and industrial tools,
storage units, and related equipment, has an immediate opportunity in Maintenance on the second shift at
the Algona, Iowa manufacturing facility.
The individual occupying this position will be responsible for installation and maintenance of plant
equipment, machines and processes. Candidates must have verifiable employment experience and/or
post-secondary education totaling two or more years in a minimum of four of the job skills listed below:
◆ Basic electrical
◆ Hydraulics/controls
◆ Pneumatics

◆ Machine repair
◆ Cutting and welding
(certified)

◆ Refrigeration/HVAC
◆ Machining
◆ Rigging

◆ Preventive maintenance
◆ Basic sheet metal

MANAGER – Environmental Health & Safety
◆ Manage, develop and administer
safety, environmental and
security function at the
Algona Plant, including worker’s
compensation, safety training
and related administration.
◆ Design and develop safety
policies, practices and
procedures to reduce the
frequency of work related
accidents and injuries with
emphasis on aggressive
prevention efforts.
◆ Manage environment, health and
safety programs, compliance
reporting and permitting.
◆ Conduct/coordinate training
programs in occupational
safety and health as it relates
to accident prevention and loss
control, ensuring compliance
to the Snap-on EH&S system
(ISO14000). (Training includes
Lockout/Tagout; Confined
Space; First Aid and CPR;

Lead plant safety team in
conducting inspections to audit
physical conditions and safe
work practices. Provide guidance
on safety improve- ments and
ensure corrective action is taken.
Manage plant environmental
matters, including operation
of plant pollution control
equipment, wastewater treatment
system, and chemical labeling
and storage.
Participate in continuous
improvement (CI) efforts
to ensure production area
redesign efforts are safe and in
compliance with environmental
and safety regulations.
Maintain documentation and
generate reports, ensuring full
compliance to OSHA, local, state,

and federal regulations.
◆ Manage workers compensation
program both internally, and with
outside claims administrator
and case managers. Ensure best
medical attention is given, while
still managing costs.
◆ Develop and implement security
programs to protect associates,
control visitor entry, and prevent
theft.
◆ A bachelor’s degree in Safety,
Environmental or related field
◆ 3-5 years of safety experience,
preferably in a manufacturing
environment
◆ Strong organizational, analytical
and problem solving skills.
◆ Excellent written and verbal
communication skills.
◆ Solid computer skills, including
Word, Excel and Power Point.
◆ Excellent presentation/training
skills

Snap-on Manufacturing/Production
Associates for 2nd and 3rd shift
Wages start at $15.38 with increases every 30 days until you reach top pay of $20.52
Hours are 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm for second shift and 11:00 pm to 7:00 am for third shift, (Monday-Friday)
with overtime as needed.
Medical, dental, vision and 401K after one month of service.
Newly hired associates are typically assigned to the following positions:
Ideal candidates will have a high school education.
Be able to work in a fast pace environment and
repetitively handle 5 to 35 lbs.
Follow verbal and written work instructions

Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Regular attendance is required
Previous manufacturing experience is a plus,
but not required.
