Chris Bill and Erica Eastman first met in the summer of 2012.
At the time, Chris was working for Erica’s uncle and “somehow got my number,” Erica said. “He sent me a text message asking if I wanted to come hang out with him after I got off work.
“I decided it was worth a shot. Chris and I instantly hit it off.”
Before the couple got engaged, they dated for four years. They have two children, Brailee, 4, and Waylon, 7 months.
“On our dating anniversary, he had purchased a shirt for our son to wear,” Erica said. “I had come home and our oldest daughter, Brailee, was holding our son, Waylon.
“His shirt said, ‘Mommy will you marry my daddy?’ Of course, I said yes.”
Erica is the daughter of Steve and Deanna Eastman, Riceville. She is a 2012 graduate of Riceville High School and a 2014 graduate of North Iowa Community College, where she earned a degrees in veterinary technician and agriculture business. She is currently employed at Floyd County Ag Center, a division of Farmers Feed and Grain in Charles City.
Chris is the son of John and Tammy Loecher, Adams, Minnesota. He is a 2002 graduate of Southland. He is self-employed doing home-construction projects.
The couples plans to wed on August 11 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Meyer.
“At this time, we have no plans for a honeymoon,” said Erica. “We do plan to spend a few days off and spend them with our children, Brailee and Waylon, along with remodeling our new home in Riceville.”
