The play, written in 1947, received the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1948, and is considered to be Williams' greatest play.

The drama, directed by Neil Moe, follows troubled former schoolteacher Blanche DuBois (Catherine Gobeli) as she moves in with her sister, Stella Kowalski (Mary Rohne), and her husband, Stanley (Chris Hager), in New Orleans. Blanche’s flirtatious Southern-belle presence causes problems for Stella and Stanley, who already have a volatile relationship.
