Humboldt 42, H-D 24

HUMBOLDT — Hampton-Dumont was unable to overcome Humboldt’s deep lineup Tuesday night in a 42-24 loss to the Wildcats.

The Bulldogs got falls from Carter Barkema, Josh Bauer, and Tyler Jondo.

West Hancock quadrangular

BRITT – West Hancok came out on top of its own quad, finishing 3-0 Thursday night.

The Eagles earned wins over Rockford, GHV and Newman.

Klayton Lamoreux, Drew Redenius, Ryder Clark, Gunnar Clark, Kevin Tlach, and Devin Richter were all 3-0.

Newman also saw good performances from its wrestlers as it finished 2-1.

In its only loss, coach Mark Bertsch said the score did not reflect how theywrestled.

“I thought the kids wrestled more aggressive than West Hancock,” Bertsch said. “We just had some matches that got away from us,”

Bertsch recognized John Waters, who had a big 9-2 decision win over Nate Aitchson, and Ben Bell and Reed Rognes, who both finished 3-0 on the night.

LAKE MILLS – Lake Mills walked through its own triangular with no problem.

The Bulldogs beat Belmond-Klemme 60-18, then followed it up with a 78-6 over West Fork.

MANLY — Central Springs came up just short of a win Thursday night. GHV managed to get the win, 46-45.

Maddie Tusha led the Cardinals with 13 points.

Nicole Young had a game-high 15 points for the Panthers.

Sam Amsbaugh had 31 points for West Fork en route to an 80-71 victory over No. 8 (2A) New Hampton on Thursday night.

GHV 68, Central Springs 60

MANLY – The GHV boys completed the sweep of Central Springs with a 68-60 win over the Panthers.

Braden Meints had 18 points to lead the Cardinals.

The Panthers’ Matt Logeman led all scorers with 22 points, including four three-pointers.
