Jake Peter is a Los Angeles Dodger.

The former Mason City High School baseball star was traded from the Chicago White Sox organization to L.A. as part of a three-team trade Thursday night.

The Dodgers also acquired left-handed reliever Scott Alexander from Kansas City. The White Sox got relievers Luis Avilan and Joakim Soria. The Royals added a pair of minor-leaguers in the deal.

Peter, 24, was a seventh-round pick out of Creighton in 2014 and batted .279 with 13 home runs and 49 RBIs in 120 games last season for Double-A Birmingham and Triple-A Charlotte.

Peter was named the Barons player of the year at the of the 2017 season.
