DES MOINES — Jarel Arbegast of West Fork signed his letter of intent to Grand View Vikings wrestling team for 2017-2018 season. He is the first West Fork Warhawk wrestler to continue wrestling at the next level.

Arbegast has had an impressive high school career coached by his father, Jared Arbegast. The four-year letter winner had 118 career takedowns and 52 pins. He was three time state qualifier and 2017 state finalist. He also was a leader on his team, being co-captain for three seasons.

"We're really excited to have Jarel and his family on board," Grand View coach Nick Mitchell said in a release. "We feel like he still has a huge upside and is going to get a ton better in college."
