ROCKFORD | Elizabeth Jenkins scored 17 points in Saturday's win against the Lady Warriors. Hali Anderson and Molly Jenkins scored 9 points each.

Morgan Thieman led Rockford with 12 points and 2 rebounds.

Central Springs 57, Northwoood-Kensett 33

NORTHWOOD | The Panthers (14-4) were led Saturday by Kaylee Parks who finished with a game-high 24 points. Morgan Kelley followed with 11 points. 

Laura Hopperstad led Northwood-Kensett with 14 points. Paige Oleson finished with 5 points. 


Central Springs 46, Northwood-Kensett 40

NORTHWOOD | The Central Springs boys team completed Saturday's sweep of the Vikings. 

Mason Hanft led the Panthers with 15 points. Jacob Langenbau followed with 11 points.

Josh Jaspers led N-K with 14 points. The Vikings got 10 points each from Kole Parks and Colton Moretz. 

West Fork 60, Osage 55

SHEFFIELD | Zach Martinek's 18 points led for West Fork (13-4) on Saturday in an important conference win.

Mitchell Halloran scored 14 points, Nathan Meinders scored 13 points, Ian Latham had 10 points and 5 assists. Thomas Nuehring pulled down 11 rebounds and had 4 assists. 

The Warhawks led 31-22 at halftime. Osage (12-6) closed the game with a 20-15 run through the third quarter. 

Rockford 49, St. Ansgar 43

ROCKFORD | Max Rooney led the Warriors (15-4) with 17 points. Zach Bushbaum followed with 12 points.

North Butler 49, Nashua-Plainfield 38

NASHUA | The Bearcats (8-9) were led by Rhett Lammers 27 Saturday afternoon. Kendrick Miller followed with 8 points.

Bishop Garrigan 79, North Iowa 51

BUFFALO CENTER — Angelo Winkel and TJ Schnurr combined for 43 points Saturday to help lead Bishop Garrigan to a 79-51 win over North Iowa.

Winkel finished with a game-high 22 points while Schnurr added 21. John Joyce and Brad Capesius added 13 and 12 points, respectively.

Taylor Baumann led the Bison with 12 points and Dominyk price scored 11.

GHV 80, Eagle Grove 36

GARNER — Garner-Hayfield-Ventura remained in a tie for the TIC West lead Saturday with an 80-36 win over Eagle Grove.

James Betz led the way with 17 points, Ryan Meyers had 16 and Jared Graham tossed in 10.

Ryan Smith paced the Eagles with 10.


Omaha 5, Mason City 0

OMAHA | Mohawk goalie Erik McHenry stopped 29 shots in Saturday's loss. 


Lake Mills’ Alex Albert signed a letter of intent to play football and run track at Waldorf on Thursday, Jan. 25.

Albert was 1A all-district football in 2017, second team all-district football in 2016. He was a member of the shuttle hurdle relay state title team.

He plans to study criminology.

Osage’s Madi Johnson signed a letter of intent to run cross country at Hawkeye Community College.

She was a member of the Osage cross country team which made it to state in each of her freshman-, sophomore- and junior-year seasons.


Metro Jets 5, North Iowa 4

MASON CITY | The Bulls scored twice in the third period but couldn't overcome the deficit to the Metro Jets Saturday at the North Iowa Events Center.  

North Iowa's Cameron Fagerlee and Connor Clemons each recorded a goal and an assist. Goalie Colin Cain stopped 28 of 33 shots.
