AMES — The Mohawk Hockey Club watched its season come to an end Saturday with a 2-1 loss to Omaha in the consolation semifinals of the Midwest High School Hockey League tournament.

After Omaha scored a goal in each of the first two periods, a power play goal by Bryce Ball, assisted by Skylar Watt, in the third period brought the Mohawks within one but that's as close as they would get.

Parker Dondlinger had 30 saves for the Mohawk Hockey Club in goal.

The Mohawks ended their season 13-15-1-1.
