Mason City 74, Waverly-Shell Rock 60

WAVERLY | Megan Meyer netted a school record 37 points Thursday as No. 8 (4A) Mason City shot its way past Waverly-Shell Rock 74-60.

Meyer broke the previous record of 36, which was held by her sister Makenzie.

Mason City's Anna Deets added 16 points and Hannah Faktor scored 10 points.

New Hampton 63, Mason City 62

NEW HAMPTON | Dylan Miller led the Mohawks with 18 points in Thursday's loss. 

Jarvorius Toney scored 17 points and dished out 4 assists. Ryan Smuck finished with 12 points and 7 rebounds.

Southeast Polk 54, Mason City 19

MASON CITY | Mason City won the opening four matches in Thursday night's dual vs. Southeast Polk, but the Rams proved too much for the Mohawks as they walked away with a 54-19 victory.

Mason City sophomore Cullan Schriever, who's ranked No. 1 at 106 pounds in Class 3A, scored the Mohawks' biggest win of the night as he won by a 9-3 decision over fourth-ranked Devin Harmison.

The Mohawks' Connor Wiemann won in overtime at 113, Colby Schriever won by fall at 132, Jeff Shurtz won by major decision at 220, and Troy Monahan won by a 3-1 decision at 285.

Lake Mills wins Central Springs quad

MANLY — Lake Mills cruised to three dual victories Thursday night in a quad at Central Springs. The Bulldogs topped the Central Springs 63-10, took care of Rockford 78-4 and beat Osage 55-17.

Jack Ramaker, Caiden Jones, Alex Martinson, Casey Hanson, Elijah Wagner, Gabe Irons and Brett Tyler each finished 3-0 on the evening for Lake Mills.

Osage was 2-1 with wins over Central Springs (57-24) and Rockford (66-15), and Central Springs’ lone win came over Rockford (60-12). The win by the Panthers gave coach Jay McDonough 150 for his career.

Spencer Mooberry, Mitchell Schotanus and Zach Williams were each 3-0 for the Green Devils.

Zach Ryg and Zack Santee ended the night a perfect 3-0 for the Panthers.
