Osage 67, Central Springs 43

OSAGE | Behind 22 points from Drew Olson, Osage opened Class 2A district tournament play Monday night with a 67-43 win over Central Springs.

Brett Bobinet added 13 points for the Green Devils and Lucas Schwamman and Colin Klapperich tossed in 10 points apiece. The Green Devils advance to a district semifinal Thursday vs. Garner-Hayfield-Ventura at Forest City. The teams have played each other in a substate final in the two previous years.

Trenton Wirtjes led the Panthers with 14 points and Dylan Kisner scored 12.

Lake Mills 70, Hampton-Dumont 31

OSAGE | Lake Mills picked up a 70-31 win over Hampton-Dumont to open its tournament trail Monday night.

Chett Helming led three players in double figures with 15, Grant Fjelstad scored 13 and Dashawn Linnen scored 12.

Elijah Horton finished with 13 for H-D.

Lake Mills will play in a district semifinal Thursday at Forest City.

Belmond-Klemme 57, Northwood-Kensett 22

NORTHWOOD | Carson Lane's 18 points helped lift Belmond-Klemme to a 57-22 win over Northwood-Kensett Monday night.

Easton Barrus tossed in 13 while Dylan Anderson added 12 for the Broncos, who play at Bishop Garrigan Thursday night in a 1A district quarterfinal.

Josh Fick and Josh Jaspers had six apiece for the Vikings.

NICS 61, Hardin County 34

After falling down 11-3 Monday vs. Hardin County, a 26-2 run helped the North Iowa Christian School waltz to a 61-34 victory.

Allan Alexander led the way with 27 points, Brian VandenBerg had 13 points four rebounds and eight assists, Graham Hellman scored nine, and KJ Barkema added 13 rebounds.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Hardin County 41, NICS 31

The North Iowa Christian School dropped a 41-31 contest to Hardin County Monday night.

Tiegan Barkema scored 15 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for NICS and Kaitlin Davis added 11 points, 10 rebounds and four assists.
