Lake Mills 39, North Iowa 26

BUFFALO CENTER | The Bulldogs went back to work after winter break and notched a win over the Lady Bison Tuesday night.

Laura Knudtson and Jade Gasteiger each scored 7 points for Lake Mills (4-6). Knudtson was credited with 8 steals. 

Katelin Adams led North Iowa (2-7) with 12 points. Rebekah Jensvold followed with 6 points.

St. Ansgar 59, Northwood-Kensett 29

NORTHWOOD | The Saints (5-5) opened 2018 with a road victory Tuesday night.

Hali Anderson led the field with 21 points. Elizabeth Jenkins followed with 11 points.

Paige Oleson led N-K with 7 points. Laura Hopperstad followed with 6 points for N-K (1-8).

West Hancock 82, Belmond-Klemme 23

BRITT | Three Eagles scored in double figures in Tuesday's victory.

Rachel Leerar led the team with 19 points and 6 steals. Amanda Chizek followed with 18 points and 9 rebounds. Kelly Leerar finished with 11 points.

West Hancock is 10-0 overall.

Haley Beminio led B-K (1-9) with 12 points.

BOYS BASKETBALL

West Hancock 83, Belmond-Klemme 59

BRITT | The West Hancock boys (5-4) had four players score in double figures Tuesday night.

MaCoy Yeakel led all scorers with 24 points. Lucas Weiland finished with 17 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. West Hancock also got 17 points from Gavin Becker and 11 points from Chase Eisenman.

Belmond-Klemme (1-9) was led by Jayden Lane's 12 points. Carson Lane finished with 10 points and Coty Kuhlers scored 10 points as well.

St. Ansgar 53, Northwood-Kensett 36

NORTHWOOD | Nicholas Bork scored 16 points in the winning effort for the Saints (6-3). Collin Kramer followed with 13 points.

N-K's Josh Jaspers led all scorers with 20 points. The Vikings fall to 1-7 on the season.

Lake Mills 72, North Iowa 70

BUFFALO CENTER | The Bulldogs (4-5) were led by 17-point efforts from Grant Fjelstad and Chett Helming. Brady Heagel followed with 10 points.

Dominyk Price led North Iowa (2-6) with 16 points. Jordan Boekelman followed with 13 points.

Charles City 65, Waverly-Shell Rock 61

WAVERLY | The Comets (7-1) stretched their win streak to seven games with Tuesday's win over the rival Go-Hawks.

Jack Molstead led all scorers with 22 points. Charles City also got 19 points from Mike Cranshaw and 10 points from Cade Hemesath.

Luke Velky led W-SR (5-3) with 18 points.
