SHEFFIELD | Trailing 43-28 at the end of the third quarter Thursday, the Warhawks staged a 25-16 rally in the fourth to seal the win.

West Fork's Zach Martinek finished with 32 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Nathan Meinders followed with 12 points and 7 rebounds.

GREENE | North Butler's Sam Dolan led the team with 7 points. Kendrick Miller followed with 6 points.

Carter Cuvelier led Aplington-Parkersburg with a game-high 23 points.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Dike-New Hartford 48, West Fork 25

West Fork lost its home game to Dike-New Hartford 48-25.

Senior Lexi Jones led the fight with 11 points. Dike-New Hartford’s sophomores Morgan Weber had 16 points and Ellie Foster had 13.

The Warhawks move to a 9-4 overall record.

Clear Lake beats IFA

IOWA FALLS | The Lions picked up a 45-23 win over Iowa Falls-Alden.

Clear Lake picked up wins by pin at 170 (Chance Poley), 195 (Kade Hambly), 285 (Jake Keith), 106 (Sam Nelson), 126 (Eric Faught), 152 (Rhys Glidden), and 160 (Ben Finn). Braxton Doebel, wrestling at 145 pounds, earned an 8-2 decision win.

Mohawks fall to Fort Dodge

FORT DODGE | The Mohawks dropped a 49-22 dual to the Dodgers Thursday night.

Mason City's Christian Rodriguez (120) and Troy Monahan (285) each won by decision. Evan Craw (182) won by a 14-4 major decision. Colby Schriever (126) and Jeff Shurtz (220) each won by pinfall.

The Mohawks close out their duals schedule at Clear Lake on Tuesday, Jan. 23.

North Butler-Clarksville 36, Osage 32

CLARKSVILLE | Thursday's dual came down to the last match, at 170 pounds, when NB-C's Bryce Trees scored a 12-5 decision over Joe Sullivan.

The Green Devils jumped out to an early lead, winning five of the first seven matches. That stretch featured wins by decision from Nolan Byrnes (138), and Colin Muller (160), a major decision by 152-pounder Mitchell Schotanus and a pin at 145 from Spencer Mooberry.

Lake Mills sweeps St. Ansgar quad

The Lake Mills wrestling train kept full steam ahead Thursday night as it picked up three more victories in a quadrangular at St. Ansgar. The Bulldogs beat Algona 72-9, Rockford 72-9 and St. Ansgar 64-12.

Jack Ramaker, Caiden Jones, Tyler Helgeson, Alex Martinson, Kyle Beery, Drae Love, Cole Bergo, Gabe Irons, and Max Johnson were each unbeaten on the night for the Bulldogs, who improved their dual record to 27-3.

Comets pick up split

WAUKON | Charles City beat Waukon 43-36, followed by a 54-22 loss to Charles City.

Against Waukon, 195-pounder Sam Niichel picked up a win by pinfall. Against W-SR, Niichel dropped to 182 pounds and posted a 12-0 major decision win.

North Iowa 5, Wisconsin 0

The North Iowa Bulls cruised to a 5-0 shutout win over division rival Wisconsin Thursday night.

Cameron Fagerlee buried two goal on the night to lead the Bulls' offense while Josh Arnold, Tyler Bump and Matt Dahlseide added one apiece. Mitch Dolter and Connor Clemons each tallied an assist.

Collin Cain recorded the shut out in goal for the Bulls, who are back in action tonight at the Whalers.
