FOREST CITY | The Indians (No. 12, Class 3A) took a 28-10 lead after the first quarter of Friday's game and never looked back.
Hannah Anderson led Forest City (12-3) with 20 points and Kelsey Koch followed with 18 points and 4 rebounds. Brea Dillavou finished with 12 points.
As a team, the Indians collected 16 steals and dished out 14 assists.
"Our guards had a good game," said head coach Dusty Meyn. "We had a pretty good game all the way around."
Mason City 72, Fort Dodge 38
FORT DODGE | After a slow first half, the Mohawks (No. 7, Class 4A) went into halftime up 32-22. A 21-5 run through the third quarter sealed the victory.
"Credit to Fort Dodge, they played hard and gave us some problems on defense in the first half," said Mason City coach Curt Klaahsen.
Megan Meyer led Mason City (9-7) with 16 points. Hannah Faktor added 13 and Anna Deets followed with 11 points.
St. Ansgar 48, North Butler 29
ST. ANSGAR | The Saints (8-7) led from wire to wire Friday night.
Molly Jenkins led St. Ansgar with 15 points. Hali Anderson followed with 14 points.
Nicole Heeren led North Butler (8-7) with 8 points.
Rockford 44, Northwood-Kensett 28
NORTHWOOD | Kayla Carroll scored 16 points and pulled down 8 rebounds for the Lady Warriors.
Morgan Thieman added 10 points for Rockford (4-11).
Clara Davidson led N-K with 9 points. Laura Hopperstad added 8 points.
Central Springs 64, Nashua-Plainfield 37
MANLY | Kaylee Parks led the Panthers (12-3) with 20 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 steals. Anna Dietrich had 14 points and 6 rebounds while Hannah Ausenhus had 12 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 steals.
Nashua-Plainfield (2-14) was led by Britney Holthaus's 12 points. Libby Fisher added 8 points.
Bishop Garrigan 69, Eagle Grove 29
ALGONA | The Golden Bears (No. 12, Class 1A) got 18 points each from Kaylyn Meyers and Jenna Boelter.
Katie Noonan added 10 points for Garrigan (11-4).
Algona 62, Webster City 45
ALGONA | The Bulldogs (12-3) got a game-high 22 points from Aliyah Buscher. Abbey Holmes was close behind with a 20-point effort.
Taylor McKinney scored 15 points for Webster City.
St. Ansgar 48, North Butler 38
ST. ANSGAR | The Saints improved to 9-5 Friday night. Ethan Kirchgatter led the team with 17 points. Collin Kramer followed with 13 points.
North Butler (6-8) got an 11-point effort from Kendrick Miller and 9 points each from Sam Dolan and Dylan Clipperton.
Mason City 58, Fort Dodge 48
FORT DODGE | Jake Rood led the Mohawks with 15 points and sophomore Jeff Skogen, in his first varsity start, added 11 points in Friday's win.
Avery Mellman scored 12 points. Dylan Miller scored 9 points and pulled down 6 rebounds.
"This should be a great win to be able to build on as we near the playoffs," said coach Nick Trask.
Algona 44, Webster City 31
ALGONA | The Bulldogs won their third straight Friday night and improved to 7-7.
Collin Bleich led Algona with 13 points. Wyatt Wegener followed with 9 points.
Jordan Tanner scored 8 points to led the Lynx.
Forest City 62, North Iowa 41
FOREST CITY | Sam Snyder scored 19 points Friday to lead the Indians (13-2). Avery Busta followed with 13 points.
Forest City gained momentum late with 34 second-half points.
"We had a sluggish start, but we had a really good second half," said Forest City coach Dan Rosacker.
North Iowa's Jordan Boekelman finished with 11 points.
Iowa Falls-Alden 53, Hampton-Dumont 47
HAMPTON | Dustin Miller and Wyatt Stutter scored 13 points each for H-D (1-12).
Karson Sharar led IF-A with 25 points. Logan Aldinger followed with 12 points.
GHV 79, Belmond-Klemme 33
BELMOND | Senior Ryan Meyers led the Cardinals (13-3) with 20 points. Senior Ray Cataldo had 17 points and junior James Betz had 11.
Junior Easton Barrus led the Broncos (1-13) with 16 points.
North Union 69, West Hancock 63
BRITT | Sophomore Joe Smith led the team with a double-double performance with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Junior Lucas Weiland had 13 points.
The Eagles are now 8-6 and will host West Bend-Mallard on Monday.
Rockford 67, Northwood-Kensett 37
NORTHWOOD | Rockford placed three in double figures Friday night as it rolled over Northwood-Kensett 67-37.
Zach Buschbaum and Kaden Lymna scored 15 points apiece to lead the Warriors while Max Rooney added 10. Jared Marth and Matt Schubert scored eight apiece.
Josh Fick and Josh Jaspers scored 11 each for the Vikings.
