Derek Carr is on track to return to face the Chargers on Sunday, two weeks to the day he suffered a fracture in his back. It can't come soon enough for the Raiders, losers of three straight, but can his owners trust Carr with any semblance of confidence?

We slotted Carr, who has thrown multiple touchdowns along with more than 2 touchdowns in just two of his past five meetings with the Bolts, as our QB11. But L.A. is coming off its first win, during which it surrendered two passing touchdowns but fewer than 200 yards for the third time. That seems like a reasonable projection for Carr — assuming he can manage the discomfort and his suddenly vulnerable offensive line can prevent Melvin Ingram and Joey Bosa from compounding it.

It's another week of waiting and seeing on fellow injured star Marcus Mariota. He has a prime matchup at home vs. the Colts, whom he's tallied six combined touchdowns and two picks on in three career games, all losses. Indianapolis has allowed the second-most passing yards to opposing quarterbacks, plus two rushing touchdowns, and 46 points each of the two times it's ventured away from Lucas Oil Stadium.

Mariota (hamstring), like Carr, was listed as questionable last week, and figures to be a game-time decision on Monday night. It gives him one extra day to heal but his owners only one other option, albeit a solid one against Tennessee's lousy 'D,' should they roll the dice — Jacoby Brissett, who's been a QB1 in two of his past three spot starts for Andrew Luck.
