MASON CITY — North Iowa was unable to wrap up a weekend sweep against St. Louis Saturday as the Jr. Blues used a three-goal first period to help it to a 4-2 victory.
Samuel Maddox, Daniil Ovchinnikov and Brandon Bornkamp tallied a goal apiece for St. Louis in the big first period.
The game came back to the Bulls a little bit in the second period as Nick Klishko and Braxton Collins each lit the lamp to bring the score to 3-2 after two periods.
Ovchinnikov tallied his second goal of the contest in the third period to seal the win for St. Louis.
Drew Scites finished 31 saves on 35 shots on goal in net for the Bulls. St. Louis outshot the Bulls 35-30.
