When did this sense of impropriety, disrespect and rudeness towards those in authority, on social media, and to people in general happen? Did it come on so gradually that we’ve become immune to the nastiness? Where is our sense of humanity towards one another? Did we learn this behavior from our parents? Teachers? Friends? So-called Hollywood/elites?
This discourse from members of Congress, Senate, and yes, our president, is alarming and sad that we can no longer have civil conversation. It doesn’t mean that we should agree with everyone or everything, we just need to think twice before we speak and leave out the expletives.
I don’t recall the outrage in the media and name calling from Congressmen over the immoral behavior of President Clinton, nor President Obama when he bowed to the Arabian king, a faux pas according to state department protocol. Is this trend of ugliness going to continue? God forbid that we’ve become and will continue to be a nation of uncultured, self-centered and egregious peoples.
