Hungry North Iowa children running down the school hallway to be first in the lunch line. Young children and mothers across North Iowa communities forced to flee their home in the middle of the night to escape domestic abuse. Neglected children and families who need a roof over their head because of circumstances beyond their control.
Please consider this an opportunity and invitation to make a measurable difference in the lives of our neighbors in need. The United Way of North Central Iowa campaign is underway, and an army of volunteers is working to raise resources so that partner agencies can improve circumstances for people in need.
As a board member at United Way, I have seen first-hand the positive results of support and programs via partnerships across the area. United Way works diligently to identify community needs and then partner with others to make sure that donations go toward the greatest impact. Impressively, 99 percent of donations raised in this region stay in this region.
Please accept this invitation to join the effort to improve the lives of those in need around us. Make a donation today to the United Way. Working together, each of us individually and all of us collectively can make a difference for hungry children, victims of abuse, and families in need.
