This isn't the first time that I have spoken out about what is happening in our society today, and it won't be the last.
It is just shocking what I read in the news everyday and wonder, is anyone else out there just as shocked? Take just a few days ago, on April 12th when police were called, by a concerned employee, who asked for help. You all know the story, because it was on the news 24/7. The men were not harmed. Did you know that a few days later, on April 19, that two men who were sitting in a restaurant eating, were assassinated? You see, they were police officers, Noel Ramirez, 29 years old, and Taylor Lindsey, 25.
On Feb. 10, Eric Joering, 39, and Anthony Morelli, 54, were shot and killed when they were dispatched to a domestic call.
So far in 2018, there have been 29 police officers killed (19 of them by gunshot).
Last month, a religious major student at the University of Pennsylvania was suspended from class because he stated there are only two genders, male and female.
Men who think they are women can go freely in the women's restroom with our wives, sisters, mothers and young children. There have been numerous attacks, just recently a few weeks ago in a Target store bathroom where an adult male exposed himself to a young girl. Absolutely nothing was done to the perp. Nothing!
Child sexual abuse is on the rise in our society. The abusers (pedophiles) are people from all walks of life. The victims are forever ruined, emotionally and physically. Society seems to find it hard to call the perps what they are, evil beings. Our justice system has tended to be 'soft' on these abusers. We've seen it recently right here in Iowa.
Abortion is pushed on society to be the 'norm.' If you publicly speak out against it, the attacks are almost immediate. Those who don't agree with you will call you all kinds of hateful terms. 'Thou Shalt Not Kill'. I take this commandment as it is. It's pretty clear. I've never understood the double standard. If a woman was murdered while pregnant, our laws state it would be a double homicide, two lives. If the same woman was to walk into an abortion clinic and abort, 'kill' her baby, crickets! Life goes on as if nothing happened. Sorry, you can't have it both ways, society.
Some ministers in churches seem to be afraid to speak out against the social issues that are against God's word. It's time for some churches to stop trying to be 'socially acceptable to all' and speak God's truth, God's teaching, God's word.
We are all not without sin. My prayer for all, is to turn to God and not away.
