NORTHWOOD | A Cresco woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated on New Year’s Day, according to law enforcement.
A Worth County Sheriff’s deputy stopped Katelin Marie Henry, 26, after she made a U-turn near the 200 block of 13th Street South about 9:37 p.m. and was found to have a non-functioning license plate light, according to court documents.
The deputy said there was a “strong odor of alcohol” coming from the occupants of the vehicle, as well as from Henry when she sat in the patrol vehicle, court documents state.
After submitting to sobriety testing at the jail, Henry provided a breath sample measuring at .105, according to the criminal complaint. Iowa’s legal limit is .08.
Henry was charged with operating while intoxicated and has been released on her own recognizance.
A court date has not been set.
