“Oliver Short” will premiere at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 14, at the Mills Theatre in Lake Mills. Doors open at 1.

The film, which runs 27 minutes, will be followed up by a Q&A session with members of the cast and crew.

“Oliver Short” is about a troubled teenage girl who is struggling with the death of her father and who must help several spirits with their unfinished business on earth.

It is the directorial debut of Kevin Isaacson, and stars Carly Neel as Alex Hall and Frank Boyd as Oliver Short. The cast includes Avery Knudson, Levi Nettleton, Mia Godfrey, Sydney Wurtzel, Hayley McNealy, Ken Draper, Jim Cross, Amanda Hines and Michael Godfrey. It was filmed entirely in North Iowa.

“This film spotlights some of the great talent that we have here in North Iowa,” Isaacson said. “We are so excited for people to see the film.”
