SHEFFIELD | A woman injured in a four-vehicle accident on Highway 65 south Sheffield on Aug. 27 remains hospitalized.

Anne Grady, 65, was still listed in critical condition at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa on Tuesday, according to a hospital spokeswoman.

The accident occurred when a semitrailer driven by John Stier, 34, of Grand Meadow, Minnesota, was northbound on Highway 65 approaching a southbound farm tractor. Grady, driving a Nissan Rouge SUV, was southbound on the highway, as were Matthew Schlachter, 36, of Iowa Falls, in a truck, and Vonn Aaron, 63 of Hampton, on a motorcycle.

The Iowa State Patrol said Schlachter failed to maintain control of his truck and caused collisions with the other vehicles.
