MASON CITY | North Iowans can expect more snow Thursday and Friday on top of accumulations from earlier this week.

There is a 50 percent chance of a snow dusting between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Wednesday night into Thursday morning in Mason City.

The temperature is expected to rise slightly overnight from minus 5 to 10 degrees. Wind chill values will reach as low as minus 10.

The snow is expected to begin Thursday evening and run through Friday morning, with a possible accumulation of 3 to 5 inches throughout North Iowa, according to the National Weather Service.

Friday through Saturday also brings a 20 to 40 percent chance of snow.

Skies should clear up by Sunday, with a high near 14 degrees. Monday will be warmer, with a high near 27.
