Salvation Army bell ringers

MASON CITY | The familiar ring of the Salvation Army Christmas bells will be heard soon in North Iowa -- and the name of this year's campaign chairman has a familiar ring to it, too.

The Salvation Army bell ringers will start their annual fundraising activities on Nov. 10-11 and will resume ringing from Nov. 17 through Dec. 23, excluding Thanksgiving Day and Sundays.

This year's chairman once again is Tim Fleming of Alpha Media Radio in Mason City, who has chaired the campaign several times in recent years.

"We have people who are in need in our community and I know we can count on Mason City and North Iowa to help out during our Christmas campaign," Fleming said in a press release.

Individuals, churches, businesses and civic groups are encouraged to sign up and help fill spots at Salvation Army kettle locations. Those interested are asked to call 641-424-4031.
