OSAGE — Dr. Ashlie Kolbet has joined the staff at Osage Veterinary Clinic.
Kolbet grew up in Fairbank, graduating from Wapsi Valley High School in 2002. She earned her undergraduate degree from Iowa State University in 2006 and graduated from ISU with a masters in veterinary medicine this past spring.
With relatives in St. Ansgar, Kolbet worked for Osage Vet Clinic previously during a preceptorship work-study program while attending the ISU College of Veterinary Medicine.
While she specializes in the treatment of food animals (cattle and swine), she is also skilled in handling issues with domestic animals and household pets.
She and her husband Mason Kolbet have two daughters, Alexis and Lily Ann. The family has purchased a place southwest of Osage and will soon be moving in.
Kolbet said she is looking forward to starting her new career with a group of great mentors, Dr. Nathan Bye, Dr. Dennis Riley and Dr. Steve Schwarting.
Osage Veterinary Clinic, P.C., which has served the area for over 40 years, is located at 1602 Main Street in Osage, with a satellite office in Elma.
