MASON CITY - A Mason City man has been sentenced to approximately 10 years in prison on drug charges.
Mackenzie Everett Servantez, 22, was sentenced Monday in Cerro Gordo County District Court to five years in prison on a charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. A $750 fine was suspended.
He was also sentenced to two years in prison for possession of a controlled substance, second offense.
The sentences were ordered to run concurrently. A third charge of interference with official acts was dismissed.
Servantez was also sentenced to five years in prison for a probation violation on a 2007 drug charge. That sentence was ordered to run consecutively to the five-year and two-year sentences Servantez received Monday on drug possession charges.
