MASON CITY | Boulder Tap House will host a fundraiser next week for the family of a 3-year-old Mason City boy who died in a house fire.

Vicente Gonzalez died Saturday night in his home on 13th Street Northeast. The fire was ruled an accident.

Boulder Tap House plans to give 15 percent of sales on Tuesday, Dec. 20, to Vicente's parents, Darcy Chase and Jesse Gonzalez. Chase is an employee at the restaurant.

"She just went through a huge tragic loss there," said Boulder Tap General Manager Tom Mason. "(We want to) try and help her any way we can as a business."

Donation jars will be available for customers, employees and community members who want to contribute. The jars should be in place starting Friday.

Money from the jars and sale proceeds will be given to the family, Mason said.

The restaurant is located at 2700 Fourth St. S.W., Mason City, and will be open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
