The Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy honored a Mason City couple for their work in protecting the architect's legacy in North Iowa.

Robert and Bonnie McCoy accepted the award for efforts to preserve notable landmarks like the Stockman House and Park Inn Hotel.

The couple, along with the River City Society for Historic Preservation and Wright on the Park, spearheaded efforts to save both structures, according to a news release.

The awards were held at the conservancy's annual conference on Oct. 3 in Milwaukee.
