Make America Great Again.
We heard this slogan throughout the campaign, and we hear it from our Nation’s elected leader. I am nostalgic, so I started to think back when “America was Great.”
Working in a factory and you hurt your back, that was your fault.
Cigarettes were good for you.
No regulations on the dumping of waist by the factories.
So what if lakes were dead and vast amounts of land parcels cannot be inhabited?
The little wars so that Americans could prosper.
The good old days when women stayed with their husbands no matter what.
The fuel that kept the lights on.
Coal. People were making a living mining coal until they developed black lung disease. Thousands of acres that are wasted because of transporting coal.
Some Americans did well and lived in big houses and watched the wars from their home.
America is great now!
We have wealthy people who give money now, not when they have died.
We have worker’s rights and corporations who care about their workers.
We have people who care about the environment.
We are developing wind, solar and natural gas giving us safe and clean energy. We have energy efficient, electric, hybrid cars and trucks.
We have renewable ethanol and biodiesel.
Made in America by Americans.
Do we have to support these two forms of energy? You bet. What is it costing America to fund the wars in the Middle East over oil?
Women and a whole host of other individuals are allowed the same opportunities as white men.
America needs to evolve and change with the times. Let us work together to fix and resolve issues, learn from our mistakes.
I am a veteran white male who is racing towards 60 – just thought you should know.
