FOREST CITY | In an effort to engage the community, Waldorf University’s Department of Music has created two new programs for area musicians to participate in.
New programs being introduced are:
Symphony orchestra: This is for all string, wind, and percussion players of any age and experience level.
Rehearsals are 6-8:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, beginning Sept. 5, in the Rehearsal Hall of the Music Center at Waldorf University.
Master chorale: This program is for all singers with any experience level, teenage or above.
Rehearsals are 6-8:30 p.m. on Thursdays, beginning Sept. 7 in the Recital Hall of the Music Center.
There will be three concert dates per year for the 2017-18 academic year, with a diverse concert schedule to coincide with the opening of the new Hanson Family Fine Arts Center in fall 2018.
