Crisis Intervention Service hosted the Clothesline Project for community members to decorate a shirt to support victims of sexual violence for display on a clothesline April 19 at Willowbrook Mall in Mason City. 

MASON CITY — Crisis Intervention Service hosted the Clothesline Project and the Take Back the Night walk Wednesday.

Community members could decorate a shirt with craft supplies to support victims of sexual violence. The T-shirts are displayed on a clothesline at Willowbrook Mall. 

During the Take Back the Night walk, law enforcement escorts survivors and supporters as they carry signs to raise awareness. 

CIS says it hopes to put an end to victim blaming and rape culture through events like these during for Sexual Assault Awareness Month in April and throughout the year.
