DES MOINES | An Amber Alert issued Monday afternoon for 12-year-old girl missing from Denison has been canceled, according to law enforcement. 

The Department of Public Safety announced Beyonce Carrasco and Rodolfo Penaflor Jr. were found safe in the Des Moines area. 

The alert was issued at 1:19 p.m. and canceled about an hour later, law enforcement said. 

Police say Carrasco was taken by Rodolfo Penaflor Jr., a 13-year-old. A white 2016 Nissan Sentra was believed to be involved. 

No other information has been provided.

DENISON | Police have issued an Amber Alert for a 12-year-old girl they say is missing from northwest Iowa. 

The alert was issued at 1:19 p.m. for Beyonce Carrasco, a white 12-year-old female, who police say is missing from Denison. 

She is described as 5 feet, 2 inches tall and 85 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and a mole on her nose. 

Carrasco was last seen wearing a dark gray monarch shirt and gray Under Armour shorts.

Police say she was taken by Rodolfo Penaflor Jr., a 13-year-old white male. He is described as 5 feet, 4 inches tall and 110 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. A clothing description was not provided.

A white 2016 Nissan Sentra with license plate EYB982, is believed to be involved, according to police. A direction of travel was not provided.
