MASON CITY | A Rockford woman has been arrested at a Mason City hotel for public intoxication and drug charges.
Kristin Traci Adams, 29, was arrested by Mason City police for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication — first offense on Nov. 5.
About 10:15 p.m., Adams was found asleep in a chair in the lobby of the Days Inn hotel. She was later found to have slurred speech, trouble keeping her balance and was swaying back and fourth, according to court documents.
Adams refused preliminary breath tests and admitted to using meth the night before, court documents said.
During a search of her person, officers said they found two clear plastic baggies totaling 8 grams of meth.
Officers also found a glass pipe, six needles and small baggies used for selling narcotics, according to court documents. An unopened bottle of Black Velvet whisky was found in her purse.
Adams is being held on a $25,000 bond in the Cerro Gordo County Jail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Thursday in Cerro Gordo County District Court.
