CHARLES CITY | A narcotics-related search warrant led to one arrest and discovery of a marijuana growing operation Thursday night, Charles City police said.
Police executed a search warrant on the 900 Block of Allison Street in Charles City around 5 p.m., according to a news release.
Officers say they found a marijuana growing operation in the residence.
Joseph Jordan, 28, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, failure to affix a drug tax stamp and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Five marijuana plants were located in Jordan’s bedroom. The plants were inside of a pop-up grow house and did not have a tax stamps, according to the criminal complaint.
Multiple glass pipes and bongs were located containing marijuana residue, police said. According to police, Jordan stated that they were his and he uses them to smoke marijuana.
Additional charges are pending and could be filed against multiple people, the police department said.
