MASON CITY | A Mason City man will head to trial for a second-degree robbery charge from an incident in late September.
Armando Ismeal Ramon, 18, was charged after he and co-defendant Gunnar Flores, allegedly assaulted and stole $3,500 and a wallet from a person, causing bodily injury, in the 700 block of North Commercial Alley at around 11:30 p.m. on Sept. 30.
The two also allegedly assaulted and stole $600 in cash, a wallet, cell phone and belt from a second person, causing bodily injury.
Ramon’s trial is scheduled for January 23, 2018, at 9:30 a.m. in the Cerro Gordo County Courthouse.
