MASON CITY | A Mason City man is accused of assaulting two people at the same residence in three days.
Brandon Ben Ward, 33, is charged with misdemeanor domestic abuse assault - second offense and assault causing bodily injury or mental illness from two separate incidents on the 800 block of 15th Street Southeast.
About 10 p.m. March 30, Ward allegedly hit a woman he knew in the face leaving a bruise around her eye.
According to court documents, Ward was previously convicted in Cerro Gordo County of domestic abuse assault in July 2015.
About 10:30 p.m. April 1, Ward allegedly hit a person over the head with a bowl leaving a cut on the person’s head.
Ward was arrested by Mason City Police that night and booked in Cerro Gordo County jail.
A no contact order was filed Monday.
Ward was released Monday under the supervision of the Department of Correctional Services.
He is scheduled to appear April 20 in Cerro Gordo County District Court.
