MASON CITY | Trials for a Mason City man accused of two counts of first-degree murder and another accused of child endangerment have been delayed to next month.

Codie Matz, 25, is accused in the stabbing death of his grandparents, Kenneth and Kathleen Hackbart, in November. His trial was previously set for 1:30 p.m. Jan. 23 in Cerro Gordo County District Court. It has been rescheduled to 1:30 p.m. Feb. 20. 

Jeremy Walter Rose, 28, is accused of burning his 5-month-old daughter with a cigarette last June, whipping her around in a violent manner and neglecting to get her treatment for those injuries, according to court documents.

His trial was previously set for 1:30 p.m. Jan. 23 in Cerro Gordo County District Court. It has been rescheduled to 1:30 p.m. Feb. 20.
