FOREST CITY | A woman and her daughter were arrested Sunday at their Forest City home on drug and child endangerment charges.
Valerie Lynn O'Dell, 42, and Audrey Lynn O'Dell, 20, were each charged with felony gathering where drugs are used and misdemeanor child endangerment when a search warrant was conducted at 7:30 p.m. at a residence in the 700 block of South Seventh Street.
The older O'Dell also faces misdemeanor charges of methamphetamine possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Officers found a crystalline substance in a bag in the open in Valerie O'Dell's unlocked bedroom, as well as hypodermic needles, pipes and other paraphernalia, according to criminal complaints filed in Winnebago County District Court.
Valerie O'Dell's juvenile son's room is next to hers, and her toddler grandson -- Audrey O'Dell's nephew -- also lives in the house, police say.
A crystal-like substance and needles also were found in Audrey O'Dell's room, according to court documents.
Two Mason City men with active warrants for drug use and sales also were found in the house, according to law enforcement.
Charles Gene Benish, 42, was charged with misdemeanor meth possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Joseph Angel Luna III, 28, was charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and interference with official acts.
Luna allegedly refused to tell law enforcement his name or where he lives.
The Forest City Police Department was assisted by the Winnebago County Sheriff's Department.
Additional charges are pending, according to the police.
