MASON CITY | A Mason City traffic stop led to multiple drug charges for a Clear Lake man early Monday morning.
Terry Lynn Hansen, 53, was stopped by Mason City police for a traffic violation around 2:05 a.m. Monday at 12th Street Northwest and North President.
According to court documents, police found Hansen in possession of several baggies of suspected marijuana, 20 blue Clonazepam pills, more than 5 grams of suspected methamphetamine, a scale, baggies and large amounts of cash.
He was charged with possession of marijuana — third or subsequent offense, possession of a controlled substance — third or subsequent offense, a controlled substance violation and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Friday in Cerro Gordo County District Court.
