CLARION - Wright County law enforcement officials seized more than five pounds of marijuana, $3,500 cash, and paraphernalia used to weigh and package drugs Wednesday afternoon at two Wright County residences.

Billy Jack Angelico, 29, Eagle Grove, and Jamie Allen Pickering, 22, rural Clarion, were arrested on felony drug charges after search warrants were executed for their homes, according to a press release from the Wright County Sheriff's Department.

Angelico was charged by the Eagle Grove Police Department with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver (class D felony); failure to affix a drug tax stamp (class D Felony), and four counts of possession of drug paraphernalia (simple misdemeanors). He is being held in the Wright County Jail on a $20,800 bond.

Pickering was charged by the Wright County Sheriff's Department with two counts of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver (class D felonies); failure to affix a drug tax stamp (class D Felony); and four counts of possession of drug paraphernalia (each simple misdemeanors). Pickering is being held in the Wright County Jail on a $30,550 bond.

The arrests came as a result of an investigation by the United States Postal Inspector, Eagle Grove Police Department, Wright County Sheriff's Department and the Region V Narcotics Task Force, assisted by the Clarion Police Department and the Humboldt County Sheriff's Department.
