BRITT | A 20-year-old Britt man faces felony and misdemeanor charges following an alleged assault on Aug. 20.
Blake Russell Evans was a passenger in a vehicle stopped outside a residence in Britt, where he was allegedly involved in a verbal exchange with the residents. Court documents say he struck two men and a woman.
One man suffered a laceration to his lip as a result, while the other, who was allegedly punched multiple times in the head, was allegedly kicked in the head by Evans after he fell to the ground.
The woman hit her head on the curb after Evans allegedly struck her, according to court documents. She was transported by ambulance to Hancock County Memorial Hospital.
Evans has been charged with assault causing bodily injury, a serious misdemeanor and assault causing serious injury and willful injury causing bodily injury, both Class D felonies.
He is being held in the Hancock County Jail. His next court appearance is Sept. 7.
