CLARION — A Dows teenager was killed in a two-vehicle accident southwest of Clarion around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Garret Roberts, 15, was killed in the accident, according to the Iowa State Patrol.

He was the passenger in a vehicle driven by Cory Adkins, 16, Clarion.

Adkins was eastbound on 240th Street when he and another vehicle northbound on Keokuk Street entered the uncontrolled intersection at the same time.

The other vehicle was driven by Nathan Wanken, 16, Clarion.

Wanken’s vehicle hit the passenger side of Adkins’ vehicle.

Both vehicles went into the northeast ditch.

All three were transported to the Wright Medical Center in Clarion.

Wanken was treated and released, and Adkins was treated and then transferred to another hosptial, according to a Wright Medical Center spokeswoman.
