CHARLES CITY — Several law enforcement agencies were involved in the Wednesday arrest of a 39-year-old Charles City man charged with third-degree sexual assault.

Dan Leech was arrested at his residence at 3274 230th Street, shortly after noon. According to the Floyd County Sheriff's Department, his house was under surveillance for several hours prior to the arrest.

Floyd County Attorney Jesse Marzen would not release details leading to to Leech’s arrest.

He is being held in the Floyd County Jail on a $50,000 cash only bond.

“I can say that there will be more charges than this one,” Marzen said this morning.

Floyd County Sheriff Rick Lynch said investigating agencies included the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, the Iowa State Patrol - including the patrol airplane and the Cedar Rapids and Marion police departments.
