Mitchell County veterans are being honored at programs across the county.

For the Osage Community Schools, a Veteran's Day program will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 13, in the high school gymnasium.

Members of the Osage American Legion and V.F.W. Color Guards will be present at the event.

The speakers for this event will be Kyle Andrews, Osage Legion Commander, and Major Rob Stangel, Support Operations Officer from the 185th OSSB, Camp Dodge, Iowa.

All veterans and their families, along with community members, are invited to attend the program.

In Riceville, a Veterans Day program will begin at 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 10 at the high school.

The program includes a parade of uniforms, student speakers, music, videos and the singing of the Star Spangled Banner.

A St. Ansgar Veterans Day program will begin at 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 10 in the new high school gym.

Speaking at the event will be Chief Master Sgt. (Ret.) Glenn Cimmiyotti of the Stacyville American Legion.
