St. Ansgar split their week starting with a Tuesday, Jan. 16, loss at Osage 52-44 and ending with a 48-29 home win over North Butler on Friday, Jan. 19. 

In the 52-44 loss at Osage, senior Elizabeth Jenkins made 6 of 15 from the field, including one 3-pointer. Freshman Hali Anderson added a 3-for-13 effort from the field, including one 3-pointer, and made 5 out of her six free throws for a total of 12 points. Anderson also grabbed a team-high of eight rebounds.

Junior Molly Jenkins led the charge in the Saints’ victory over North Butler going 7-for-10 from the field. Anderson added a 7-for-16 effort for 14 points and five rebounds.

St. Ansgar led 30-16 at half and would go on an 18-6 run over North Butler in the third to make it 48-22. While the Saints didn’t score in the fourth, they held North Butler to just a seven-point effort for the 48-29 win.

St. Ansgar traveled to Nashua-Plainfield on Tuesday, Jan. 23, but scores weren’t available at press time.
