The St. Ansgar boys endured back-to-back-to-back losses this week to Nashua-Plainfield, West Fork and Rockford.

The Saints lost an overtime contest to Nashua-Plainfield 62-56 on Tuesday, Jan. 23 despite having three players in the double digits.

The Saints were down 25-19 halftime and kept pace with the Huskies through the third, each adding 13 points. The Saints would go on a 20-14 run to force overtime 56-56. The Huskies would put on a 10-4 performance to seal the win.

Junior Collin Kramer led the Saints with 16 points and eight rebounds. Sophomore Jack Sievert had 14 points and seven rebounds and junior Ethan Kirchgatter finished with 14 points and six total rebounds. Senior Nicholas Bork led the team with 10 total rebounds.

In the 75-45 loss to West Fork, Kirchgatter led the team with 16 points. Sophomore Jack Sievert had nine points.

The Saints would cap off the week with a 49-43 loss to Rockford.

St. Ansgar hosted Northwood-Kensett on Tuesday, Jan. 30, but scores weren’t available at press time.
