The St. Ansgar boys went 1-2 in matchups this week.

The Saints started the week off with a loss to Nashua-Plainfield, 52-45.

Junior Ethan Kirchgatter led the team with 21 points and Collin Kramer added 14 of his own.

In Friday’s 81-52 loss to West Fork, Kirchgatter once again led the team with 17 points and senior Nicholas Bork topped the rebound totals with 10.

But Jack Sievert would be the star in Saturday’s victory. Sievert led three St. Ansgar players in double figures in the Saints’ 58-49 win over Belmond-Klemme.

Sievert scored 22, junior Collin Kramer had 16 and Kirchgatter added 14. Nicolas Bork rounded out the scoring with six.

The Saints held a 3-3 record before hosting Rockford on Tuesday, but scores weren’t available at press time.
