RICVILLE | Riceville will have a lot of new faces on this year’s team.

After a 6-17 record last year, the Wildcats lose four seniors who were top scorers on last year’s team.

But senior Sarah Harken, last year’s top scorer, will return. Harken averaged 10 points per game and tallied up 231 points with a 33 percent field goal percentage and making 71.6 percent of her free throws.

Looking to contribute will be returning juniors Julia Klaes and Aby Adams, whom also saw time on the court last year. Klaes play a big role on defense, where she forced 63 turnovers last season, including 23 steals.

But the bulk of the team is new, with sophomores Allie Bigley and Kaelea Lewis returning after little court time last year and five new freshman added to the roster.

The Wildcats hosted St. Ansgar on Tuesday, November 21 to start the season. Scores were not available at press time.
