OSAGE | Osage (4-4) defeated Hampton-Dumont (1-7) 24-20 on Friday, Oct, 13.

The Bulldogs went to work in the second quarter.

Junior Dustin Miller got things started with a 46-yard touchdown reception from senior quarterback Hunter Sutter. A failed two-point conversion put the Bulldogs up 6-0. Osage sophomore Gage Belz answered with an eight-yard touchdown run and a two-point conversion reception to give the Green Devils an 8-6 lead.

But the Bulldogs would score on another big play by Sutter, a 42-yard touchdown run and a two-point conversion make up the points for a 14-8 lead. Just before the half, Osage junior Hayden Meek caught an eight-yard touchdown pass from senior quarterback Drew Olson. A two-point conversion pass by Belz to senior Aschenbrenner tallied a 16-14 score.

The Green Devils were the only ones to score in the third quarter on a 27-yard touchdown run by Belz. A two-point conversion connection by Olson and and senior Lucas Schwamman completed their score at 24. The Bulldogs would score in the fourth quarter on a five-yard touchdown reception by Miller, but the two-point conversion failed once again, lighting up a victory by the Green Devils 24-20.

Osage will complete its regular season on the road against GHV on Friday.
