The Osage girls basketball team went into winter break with a perfect record.

The Green Devils (9-0 overall, 7-0 in conference) have played every team in the Top of Iowa Conference East Division except Northwood-Kensett. The only true tests they’ve gotten in those games are a two-point win over St. Ansgar on Dec. 5, and a nine-point win over Central Springs in the second game of the season.

The Green Devils and Panthers (6-1 in conference) have separated themselves from the rest of the TIC East, and their match-up on Jan. 12 is one to look forward to.

Rylie Olson leads the team in scoring with 11.8 points per game. Gabby Schwarting follows with 9.7 points per game and is one of the leading 3-pointer shooters on the team.

Sidney brandau leads the team in rebounding with 48 (23 on offense). Schwarting and Brenna Jacobs have 22 assists each.

Osage returns to action Friday, Jan. 5, at home against Northwood-Kensett.
