William “Bill” Newhouse

OSAGE | William “Bill” Newhouse, age 92, of Osage, died Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at the Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.
Celebration of Life Services were held on Saturday, November 11, 2017, at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage with Pastor Roy Ott officiating. Inurnment was held on Saturday, November 18 in Osage Cemetery, with full Military Honors conducted by the Osage V.F.W. Post 7920.
William “Bill” Newhouse was born March 18, 1925, near McIntire, the son of Mayo and Genevieve (Julius) Newhouse. He graduated from McIntire High School. He served in the United States Navy during WWII. He was a janitor for the Osage Community Schools and then was a full-time United States rural mail carrier. He was a lifetime member of the Osage V.F.W. Post 7920.
Bill is survived by his wife, Shirley Newhouse of Osage, two daughters, three sons and number grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Darlene Tate; four brothers, Leslie Newhouse, Paul Newhouse, Glendale Newhouse and Darrell Newhouse.
